About Lin Studio

I am a ceramic and metal artist-maker based in London.

My work grows from the gaps between functional and conceptual space. I’d like to express mood and emotion and communicate the ineffable through material while recording the spontaneous reaction to clay, oxides, metal and other raw elements.

It also expresses cultural reflection where I draw inspiration from the long history of Chinese ceramics and ceramic art from the rest of the world especially the fine earthenwares made in the neolithic period.
